   ロックの世界では、独創的で優れたアイデアを提示するなんて意外とつまらない行為だったりする。ジム・ディキンスンがビースティ・ボーイズについて語ったことを要約すると、ロックン・ロールとは泥棒行為なのだ。重要なのは「盗むか、盗まないか」ではなく、「どんな理由で / どれぐらい上手に / いくら盗むか」だ。「誰から盗むか」と言い換えてもいい。

   ヘヴィなリフが正面切って展開する本作は、実によくできたレトロ・ロック・アルバムで、手拍子やキャッチーなコーラス、あふれんばかりの自信に彩られている。ジェットの盗みの手口は鮮やかだ。AC/DC、ヴァーヴ、オアシス、ハンブル・パイ、エアロスミス、ブラック・クロウズ、ムーニー・スズキから気ままにパクっている。

   本作の数少ない弱点は、歌詞と比較的ソフトな楽曲にある。歌詞の大部分はきわめて陳腐で、たとえば「なあ、あんな顔が印刷されたカネなんか必要ないよな（Now you don't need money with a face like that, do ya）」という具合。まるで「1973年」と入力した最新の作詞プログラムに書かせたみたいだ。アルバムの半分を占めるバラードについては、とりあえず上出来といえる。このうち、「Look What You've Done」はオアシスっぽく、「Timothy」はピンク・フロイド的で、「Move On」はスモール・フェイセス風。しかし、このグループの本領はミッド・テンポあるいはアップ・テンポのノリのいいチューンにある。（Mike McGonigal, Amazon.com）
