パソコンからTVゲームに移植された人気恋愛アドベンチャーゲームを原作としたTVアニメーションの名作全12話（プラス特別編2話）を、高画質高音質のブルーレイでボックス化。人形遣いの青年・往人（小野大輔）と海辺の田舎町で出会った観鈴（川上とも子）ら少女たちとの交流を通して、1000年の時を超える悠久の愛のロマンが感動的に繰り広げられていく。いわゆる“萌えアニメ”に対する巷の偏見を覆すほど質的に高いクオリティは、このジャンルに活路を開いたとも思しきものであり、特に後半部は感涙すること必至。良質なシナリオの成果も含め、ゲーム原作のアニメーションという点でも最高峰に属する出来栄えだろう。映像、音楽ともにレベルの高い作品なだけに、いち早くブルーレイ化されるのも当然といえば当然の帰結ともいえる。未見の方には、今からでもぜひ鑑賞を強くオススメしたい。（増當竜也）
